Fatum is a series of photographs that explores the question of image formation and captures the moment of an ephemeral painting. Each photo is a tableau in which the fragments of torn wallpaper held in the hand have been chosen beforehand, carefully arranged and then photographed. This direct ‘hand-paper-drawing-colour’ relationship gives rise to a closeness that allows us to experience a sensitive relationship to combinations and all the possible pictorial variations. La pose arrêtée shows just one of his compositions, like a sequence chosen from a larger inner movement. She seems to refer to the world of gambling, borrowing attitudes and expressions linked to the card game, such as ‘having a hand’, “shuffling” and ‘having a game’.
